Most people are other people. Their thoughts are someone else's opinions, their lives a mimicry, their passions a quotation.--------Oscar Wilde, De Profundis, 1905
When people give you their opinions mostly they are telling you how they'd want you to look or act; the way it'd please them to see you. So, you find that when you choose to follow that opinion you become a little bit of them for that moment. If this is done frequently and constantly you soon lose who you are, you might even forget how you want to look or act.
It'd be wise then to choose carefully whose opinion you follow, better still to source a wide range of opinions and work them to suit your person because inadvertently we all follow opinions.
Today, I'm subscribing to the tried and trusted opinions of the likes of Christian Dior on the value of black; a black skirt.
This black skirt was originally a dress I got from mom. I had it converted to a skirt; the fabric is fine. It's become the perfect black skirt for casual glam looks which I've been on lately.
