Ankara Skirt and Village Living.

This past week I was cut off from what I've known as civilization. The family traveled to the hometown or village as it is popularly called for my sister's 'ime ego' ( that is payment of the bride price) which is the first part of the traditional marriage in almost all African marriages.

Those were my grandmother's earthenware (clay) pots.

Sis refused to be in the photos.

tailored Hitarget ankara skirt / unknown brand top and slippers.
